Hi guys,

‘I just had the EV home charger installed for my upcoming i3 which I am going to get late January.

The installation took about 3 hours with no hitches.

I now have a new shiny box emitting a blue light that I think neighbours assume is some kind of very weird Christmas light! ?

‘I am going to switch my electricity supplier in January. That way I avoid the £70 duel fuel early exit charge. So from EDF Energy to British Gas. Hopefully everything will come together perfectly and I can start life driving electric.

I must say that I have actually seen people stopping and looking at the charger. All I need now is the car which I am really excited to get.

It is not a problem Rob. As it was only a suggestion.

I really is quite simple to add an image stored on your computer.

Save image to say your desktop where it is easy to find. Then look at the icons above your post in the bar.

at the far right you should see an icon like a small picture. Simply click on that icon and it will open a box. on the first line it says source. to the right of that there is an icon of a camera. click the camera icon. It will open an other box showing your files. Navigate to your desktop and then select the file you want to post. Then click on open. This will take you back to post box. you will see text has been added. now all you need to do is click OK and that is it all done.

I have an IPad would that make a difference?

I can click on the icon. Then click source then select the pic – a blue tick confirms which picture. But it does not go any further. Says Picture is5.5MB?

Mine is under my carport which works out well.

I have got a separate switch inside to turn it off when not in use so you don’t get the continuous blue light glowing.

The green light showing is because its in use.

I found that it helps to press the DONE button at some point – told you. Computers are not my thing ?

Hi guys,

‘I get my i3 late January. They fitted the charger as they had a slot available now.

Motability paid for the installation.

I am not sure about the length of the cable sorry. It will easily get to where it needs to charge though. I believe that you can ask for extra cable but there is a relatively small charge to pay something like £5 per meter – not totally sure about the pricing as it wasn’t required.
