New chip shortage on the horizon

      They do keep having these spats with China and EUropes recent fight, with Chinese owned chip maker Nexperia,which saw the Duch government takeover the plant in the Netherlands, hasn’t gone down too well!

      I expect China’s export restrictions on chips, will be much wider than just the VW group.

        I think it simply means much more “Made in China” cars. But Volvo already manufacture their EVs in China, so do other EU manufacturers, no?

          Yes! Apart from european pressence in China building cars for the Chinese market, via joint partnerships/ventures. There’s european manufacturers that build cars in China, ship them back to be sold in europe. To name a few..
