hi all,

needless to say not all smooth sailing lol.

a few days after the order fiasco ref 29th feb the order was accepted on the kia system on the second and mota caught up on the 4th.

however next day i got an email from ohme about fitting a charger, no says i cant have a charger i did tell kia this and motability. an way back and forthe for several hours between mota and ohme. eventually mota are going to send me whatever card it is you get but nothing heard yet.

today email from kia your kia is in the production queue. lol nothing said about how long said queue is.

lets hope everything else goes smoothly.

They don’t tell you how long production queue is, the next you will hear is its being given a build slot.

Surely saying to Mota you can’t have acharger is enough without the need to speak with Ohme. Mnd you, if they had issing around for several hours, I would have had them wasting their time coming out rather than mine lol.

I think I’d rather have the difficulties of reiterating you can’t have a charger than all the photos from impossible angles and assurances they require to actually fit the damn thing.  Next bit I’m waiting for is where they tell me it’s no longer covered by warranties and I’ll need to either extend at cost or replace the box.

Or, as we did, take all the silly photos, get a visit from a surveyor, suck’s teeth, says no…so no Ohme charger.

Dunno why its a difficult install, we already have a dumb charger on the wall, 6mm cable etc all there, all they needed to do was take it off and bolt their one on…the dumb charger is a 4yr old Viridian Classic 2.0 with all the latest protections, pen fault, current sensing etc built in, just no smarts.
