Wow, you won’t lose it on a supermarket car park. It’s an eye popping colour!

Quick review after a week.
Car is very nice to drive, spends most of the time in electric mode and when the engine does activate you cant hear it unless you have the windows down and music off.
Interior quality is seriously impressive, lots of soft touch materials and nothing rattles.

Renault AustralPicked mine up Friday(26th July) Sorry no pic forgot, but thought I’d share this with you. I completely filled the fuel tank cost £79. Took this picture today(30th July), on the right it shows the mileage I have done as 429.7mls and on the left it shows the remaining range as 235mls. That is an estimated total mileage of 664.7 miles for one tank of fuel. Thats got to be pretty good.

It’s really good on fuel, i mainly drive in the city and i’m getting high 60’s in MPG.

That’s true, it got to one stage where I was thinking about cancelling my order as most people posting on there seemed to be having so many different problems.
Just have to remember with Group pages for cars, people are more likely to post when they have issues compared to people who have no issues.

Renault AustralOk so it’s been nearly 2 months since i’ve had the Austral.
Pros:
MPG – At worst i’m getting just over 50MPG in the default driving mode (Comfort), highest i’ve achieved was 70MPG.
Performance – Obviously you don’t get an SUV for “fun” driving but this thing is great, quick response when you need it (trying to get out of busy junctions etc).
Quality – Interior wise this is very good, i’ve had a couple of premium cars (BMW, Merc) and this matches those in my opinion. No creeks or rattles, all the materials feel good quality and the seats are very comfortable.
Tech – Multimedia screen is Google so anyone who uses an Android phone/tablet will be very familiar with it. Super responsive to touch controls or you can just tell Google to do it for you. Probably my favourite feature is when you’re parked up you can watch YouTube, Netflix, Prime etc on the screen. The Harmon Kardon sound system is very good also, clear audio with a decent amount of bass.
Cons:
Honestly only two so far and i consider them very minor. First i have the panoramic sunroof and having the shade fully open causes it to rattle when going over bumps. It’s not something i’m going to book in and have them look at it but will bring it up on it’s next service.
Second is the quality of the cameras, this apparently is the case for all the Renaults but the image quality is very low, talking like 480p.
Overally very happy with the car, especially after the nightmare of the Astra that i had.

Renault AustralThanks for the update Retro. I collected my Austral on Monday this week, really impressed so far. As you say even in ‘Comfort’ mode the response is very quick. I also agree about the poor cameras, especially coming from a Toyota TS were the picture quality was brilliant.
Shadow Grey with Black roof, the grey paint has a very strong metallic flake and the black is full of many different flakes that really sparkles.
