Picked up my New C5 Aircross Saturday.
I was sad to see the C4 go mind she was a pocket rocket and in the 4 and half years I had her we been on some great adventures including visiting Cornwall for the very time. Returning to South Devon after 18 years.
I would have happily kept it the full 5 years but whilst on holiday I had a good think about and with how Advance payments been I decided to change now.
I would have had another C4 but the Hybrid I wanted was nearly 4 grand which is £200 more than the Top spec New 2025 C5 Aircross.
So my options were
Have another C4 but the 1.2 130 EAT8 Max at £2499 which has less power than my 2021 155 Shine Plus and sone of the standard stuff now cost options.
have the Outgoing C5 Aircross 1.5BlueHDi EAT8 Max Edition at £2499 reduced by £500 from Q3 prices
or stretch another £500 for the New 2025 C5 Aircross 1.2 145 Hybrid in the Mid Spec Plus model.
So after speaking with my Salesman buddy that I’ve known for over 20 years I opted for the out going C5 Aircross. I had the £750 to use as well so the total including my adaptions came to £1866.
just getting used to driving the diesel now as I don’t drive the sisters one that often so the last time I regularly drove a diesel was my late brothers 2010 C4 Picasso 2.0HDi EGS6 and then his 2013 C4 1.6ë-HDi EGS6 but he died after having that one after 6 weeks so I didn’t get to drive that one for long.
Im sure it will all drop into place the more I drive it.
Don’t think it will be on the scheme much longer as stock getting very slim now my buddy was telling me. especially as Arnold Clark bought a load of them to sell as pre reg cars.
