This is a continuation of the old thread which was becoming slow to load.
We will be deleting all posts not related directly to the number of vehicles on the Scheme at the end of the day, or sometimes sooner. Please do not take offence if your post is deleted, it’s intended to make this thread as uncluttered as possible.

A 5 iconic is 27,495 inc grant on the road. Motab want 6195 upfront from you plus they’ll get just over 12k over the 3 yrs from your PIP payment. Factor in what Carmad said and either they’ll be making a nice profit out of this car or there is no confidence whatsoever in its residual value after 3 years!
Where did you get 12k from?
Current PIP higher rate mobility is £110 a week.
Thats £440 every 4 weeks, £5,720 a year (13 payments) £17,160 over 3 years. Thats without adding in any inflationary increases in payments (£17,680 at 3%pa)Even on a £30,000 car that over half the value, although it covers more than just the purchase price.
Either insurance costs have increased exponentially under DLM or we’re getting shafted now.
I'm Autistic, if I say something you find offensive, please let me know, I can guarantee it was unintentional.
I'll try to give my honest opinion but am always open to learning.Mark

October 17, 2025 at 11:27 am #315841As I see if these vehicles are £23000 – £27000, given the public views on used EV the residual value is going to be very low, I would imagine Mobility have had their fingers burn as regards EV 3 year residuals just look at the consumer market price of EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5 and 6, Vauxhall and Peugeot etc with there poor reliability ?
Can you imagine the trade prices.

Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally say the wrong thing.

October 17, 2025 at 1:06 pm #315855Yes they can be ordered – expect demand to be really strong at this pricepoint.
Factory Orders in the main, which currently will be between March – June 26.
