If you have ever received a payment or refund from us for any reason, you will almost certainly have been sent a cheque for the amount owed.

However, we are pleased to announce that we are now able to offer payments and refunds by bank transfer to customers with a Motability Scheme online account.

All you need to do is save your bank details within your online account and any future payments you might be entitled to, such as the Good Condition Bonus, will automatically be sent to you by bank transfer.

Where do I save my bank details?
To receive future payments directly into your bank account, you need to sign-in to your Motability Scheme online account and navigate to the personal details section. Then simply follow the onscreen instructions under the section entitled ‘My payment details’ to complete the process.

If you don’t currently have a Motability Scheme online account, you can learn more and create an account here.

Please note that the online account is currently only available to car or WAV customers.

      What details do I need?
We will just need your sort code and account number, but this must be for a UK bank account that has been open for longer than six months. Some smaller or newer banks such as Monzo or Metro Bank may also not be accepted.

Please note that we can only make payments to the Motability Scheme online account holder, so the bank details entered must match with the online account holder details.

      How secure are my details?
We have put a number of measures in place to keep your bank details secure once they are saved within your Motability Scheme online account. These include:

Encrypting your details once they have been saved in your account
Making only the last few digits are of the sort code and account number visible when you view your details in your account
Ensuring that our advisors are unable to view or edit your bank details
We will also send you an email notification whenever your bank details are updated, so that you are always aware if any changes are made.

What if I need to update my details?
You can view or edit the details you have provided in the personal details section of your online account.

To amend your details, click ‘Change bank details’ and follow the simple onscreen instructions.

If you wish to remove your bank details and revert back to cheque payments, please call our Customer Services team on 0300 456 4566 who will be able to arrange this for you.

Well that saves posting them or a 50 mile trip to the bank (plus the excuse for the wife to go shopping at the same time, “well you’re going anyway”)

          Just done mine

Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.

Well done, that’ll keep my Autistic son happy, I can get an Indian, a Chinese and a Chippy out of that 🤣

Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
