Hi all, my mums current car MOT expires mid January and her new car is ready for pick up end of December. Do I have to go get a new MOT before returning the old car? I feel like I knew the answer before but it’s slipped my mind

I’m sure you have to get it MOTed before it’s handed back.

You need to have it MOT’d within 3 months of handing your car back and prior to picking up your new lease.

If your dealer can’t fit you in prior to picking up your new car, speak with Motability and request you take it to Krapfit as your dealer can’t fit it in.

Yes you do. Take it to your dealer to arrange. You can do it 3 months in advance of the mot due date
