Third new tyre in a couple of months. First two were scrapped by a pot hole. When fixed I went up to look at it and couldn’t believe a wee hole wrecked two tyres. Then one on Friday by me clipping a kerb at a slight angle and about 4mph. My fault… But turns out those nice modern branded tyres are crap.

Had to wait on kwikfit mobile coming out today and got talking to the fitter. Told him I have never had problems like this when my tyres were 19in, I was thinking that the 20s just had less rubber so that’s what was causing this to some extent. He told me that they have less rubber, so i thought I was right. Until he explained that it’s not the size, but they just have less rubber and are made from man made crap as well.

So done a quick Google and he’s right. They are crap and a lot more expensive. He also said that everyone goes on about potholes but never about tyres.
