Hi
We have one. It works ok on some chargers and not others. I haven’t bothered to work out the difference with some chargers as I try and avoid charging away from home for obvious reasons.

February 5, 2026 at 1:16 pm #337431I would describe it as useless.
If you’re Octopus customer, I would recommend to use Electroverse, ensuring you get extra 8% discount.
Beyond that if you have periods of intense driving, like going on holiday, including to the Continent, my personal recommendation would be to pay on off monthly fee (I think it is £9) to either Tesla or IONITY.

February 5, 2026 at 7:33 pm #337457I think it doesn’t take the holding fee for charging like a bank card does. I’ve never used mine, but worth having. I tend to use Octopus IOG with electroverse card when out and about.

February 6, 2026 at 3:05 pm #337502I have one, but I’ve never used it. I just use Electroverse. Even if you’re not an Octopus Energy customer, as it often offers some discounts. I used it last Weekend, 3 times. One charge, I got 15% off at Source EV. You don’t get that on The Motability Go. The other 2, I could have used Go and would have got the same price. The Go Card and app are powered by Electroverse, which is better than the previous app MB had.
The other thing is that sometimes, a CPO’s own app at certain times can be cheaper. Take Instavolt for instance, after 8 pm it’s 60p via their app or own RFID card, but still the full 89p if you use any other method of payment.
Then if you’re doing enough miles away from home in a month, or cannot charge at home. A month’s subscription is good, but then you are limited to using that CPO.
This Monday, I switched to Octopus for energy. Today I joined their smart EV tariff IOG. So I’ll get 8% discount. 5% if you opt for the standard go tariff.
The electroverse app and maps, etc, also just work better, IMO
