MG have announced they are going yo build a manufacturing plant in Galica Spain to produce cars for Europe.

This site will include R&D and sales and should be up and running by 2028

Most likely they will keep SAIC’s Longbridge technical centre open for it design engineers and chasis and suspension tuning R&D facility, and hopefully London HQ and design studio will stay.

Galica specifically seems somewhat fishy, as if Stellantis offered build MG. Afterall they have a huge plant there and are offering themselves as the manufacturer of Chinese cars in europe!

With are rocketing energy prices and loony Ed, no wonder the UK isn’t a prime spot to manufacture for some bugger else!
