Lots of detail? Before being concluded

Simply based on my own observations

Lots of detail being farmed out for something that is awaiting conclusions

As the stage is being set for a Nov opening night following months of imo secret  rehearsals

Timms is busy practicing his straight face and will soon be off to makeup

      They can work wonders

Meanwhile the baying press are being kept incrementally primed and drip fed as this article shows

Details of things that as far as Joe public were concerned were all things that have  yet to be concluded?

The plans are still awaiting the conclusions of reviews by Alan Milburn, who is looking at young people’s employment, and the Timms panel, which is examining the personal independence payment (Pip)

I expect the final scene in Nov will be Timms standing there with a straight face thanking all of the selective disabled people for their contributions

I wonder if the MPs will  rise up again and protest ( something tells me they won’t once self survival kicks in)

      We will soon see

Nothing is written in stone so we will have to wait and see

The article touches on many things inc the mobility scheme and possible further changes

I suggest a full read and make of it what you will

I said in an earlier comment, that the press are having a field day with all of this.

The Independent ran a similar article earlier based on the Guardian story, but with their own little skew on things!

Although there is a lot of scare mongering going on about PIP, in actual fact, with 13 out of the 14 on Timms review committee being disabled, there could actually be a pleasant surprise in the feedback and recommendations. With the 13 disabled members being very sympathetic and understanding.

They could in actual fact, recommend that PIP payments are actually increased significantly to compensate for the high increase in MB AP’s and other additional disabled costs.

I do hope that someone traces who these 13 disabled people are and what disability and background they have.

Also to find out how they were chosen and how many of them promoted, support and stand by the new proposals and their reasons for doing so.

As I said in earlier posts, all the Government does is waste time and money in an effort to kid the public on, by producing a so called independent finding, to fit in with their original intensions, they had all along.

I do hope your right but fear politics are never that fair

Worth remembering the remit that being only one man will decide what happens

Secretary of State for Work and Pensions: The Rt Hon Pat McFadden MP

He has been very vocal on this very point

I personally wouldn’t hold my breath for any of the well intentioned 13 hand picked window dressing disabled members making any difference.

Think tanks have proposed plans and Postman Pat will deliver imo

Sorry @jojo22 my first half, was me being sarcastic.

I have absolutely no faith in the future finding’s

It will be an absolute farce, as part of the Government’s pre decided future policy on PIP.

Well all will soon be revealed and some say the media are having a field day
                Indeed they are I agree

But I strongly suspect as is too often the case that .Gov Dept of the day and the media are closely linked and that they often scratch each other’s backs
.Gov will hand out snippets to the media it’s called testing the waters and is common practice

I suspect in the past there has been some back tracking/watering down of future policy once .Gov has tested the waters and feels that a particular potato is to hot

Either with Joe public or the back benches or both
But I fear in this case that will not immediately be happening not with Cabin Boy Timms and Pat Mc Fadden in charge of the Helm

I think Pat may feel emboldened if those leaks fail to raise any eyebrows on the back benches
Perhaps some of those 2024 freshly elected MPs that rebelled may now conclude that their own job security is the most important thing

                We will see

Everything has imo since 2025 been managed in stages (I imagine Donor funded think tanks working flat out ) in such a way that the arrow that was fired in June 2025 and was subsequently deflected has hung in mid air is perhaps now able to get back on track and land as close as possible to its original intended target

The whole thing gets my back up tbh and so I will leave this whole subject there until the outcome is known as I have clearly made my point
