Paying a 12 month deposit of  £3,500 brings it down to £297 per, and that makes it more affordable when you have to factor in Insurance and maintenance

Thats steep. My insurance an servicing came to £67/month.

That comment relates to the poster who said with insurance they calculated, the price was over £500/month.

I thought the deal Vaun put up was quite good.

I think there are better deals on the market:

          Hyundai IONIQ 6
239kW Ultimate 77kWh 4dr AWD Auto (Motability offers a lower trim for just over £4,400):

          AP £3,414

          Monthly £284.46

          Period 3 years

          Annual mileage 10,000

Apologies for briefness and spelling mistakes.

Cheers for that Rene it far better than the measly over priced Mobility scheme offer

Yeah it very much is. For us this offer is slightly cheaper than the MB offer, including insurance (which of course depends on location etc). We’d save quite a chunk of money going for the single motor ultimate (which, honestly, is good enough to overtake and has longer range), so the jury is out whether my immaturity (powah!) or common sense (range though!) wins.

This and the Tesla 3 offer from a while ago just straight up beat MB in value. That’s why the offer here isn’t great in my opinion – it’s £15k just in car payments over three years. The average MB customer does not want (or wouldn’t be able to) find an extra £150-£200 every single month to go private with the MGS6 deal, when the equivalent Enyaq on the scheme is £13500 over 3 years including tyres and insurance.

My neighbour has just transferred to MG at my local dealership.  She drove the S6 home with all the advertising you’d expect on a demonstrator.  Apparently they’re offering over £9 grand off the starting retail price before anyone tries any haggling.  I can’t see the current AP lasting beyond July.

I always budget for GAP on top of Insurance on lease vehicles, you are looking between £100 – £300 for 3 years depended on your lease value, also if you were pass away your lease does not die with you, you are liable subject to terms of the lease (early termination) for 50 -100% of the payment left on the lease.

Insurance quote for us are around £525/550 for a Tesla, Kia/Hyundai £600/650 plus you need to add /allow for gap insurance. The wife is worried if I pop my clogs part way through the lease she would be saddled with the debt, I told her I would set aside a separate account to cover the lease.
