ParticipantThank you Coogy for all that great information, I too was looking to get the ST line 2.0 with 182bhp, but not due to look around until Oct so keep my fingers crossed.
Mal.
Unfortunately the ST model is only available in a 1.5. you can go for ecoboost wich takes it from 120bhp to 150bhp but the ecoboost is only available in manual not Auto. Can’t see the Kuga 2.0ST being put back anytime soon unfortunately.
Mal.
Well unless Labour win then there will be more disappointments ahead. Lots of them.
Richard Hewett
Yes I’m sure that if the tories win the scheme will be shut down in the next two years.
Mal.
Don’t know about shut down but it will severely be reduced even though it’s struggling now to provide a lot of people with a vehicle that is suitable. As they surpass the CAP. and also we are all starting to notice the AP gradually increasing, as a lot of equipment which was standard previously is now at a added price?
AlanA
I don’t like the artificial cap put on cars, but regardless of who gets in, this will continue.
you could always complain to your MP
but the fact that the sportier models are not available is a question to answer, why should the taxpayer pay for high performance models?
The lust above is quite sufficient to be honest.
however I looked at the kuga and was disappointed in the rear seat room, not large whatsoever.
youbwould be better off with an SMax or `Galaxy

Hi could anybody tell me how the 1.5 diesel engine copes on motorways? And is there a difference between the manual and automatic regarding motorway journeys.
Thanks
Mal.
Ish
Hi Mal,
I’ve been out in the 1.5 diesel auto ST Line today. Tried it at up to 70mph on dual carriageway and can tell you you’d have no issue at motorway speeds. Very impressed with how quiet it at low and high speed is but accelerating from 30 to 60/70 is a bit disappointing. I guess it depends what you’re used to and how you’d drive the car.
It soaked up the bumps nicely and there was very little body roll. The steering was very light.
Interior was too plasticy for our liking but the exterior looked pretty nice. There’s no height adjustment on the seats. Boot takes a wheelchair laying down with the handles folded.
Anything else just let me know.
Mal.
Thanks ish much appreciated. I did have a test drive but unable to get on a motorway/Dual carriageway to see. but I trust your comments and judgment ish so thanks again.
