Can’t speak for the PHEV but my partner and I currently have the hybrid Kodiaq. It’s a good car, very spacious for a large family, I do find it to be quite thirsty at low speeds though. It barely hits above 20mpg around town, seems to be extremely choosy as to when it kicks in the 2 cylinder hybrid mode. Dunno if this will be of any use to you or not but thought I would share our experience
January 7, 2026 at 1:18 pm #326746If the Skoda PHEV is anything like our Tucson, to answer your question you will be relying on finding someone who manually works out the true mpg equivalent by adding the charging costs to the petrol costs and dividing the total cost by the miles. The fuel computer in our Tucson overstates mpg massively as it assumes that all miles driven on electric are free! The computer usually stages between 75 and 100 mpg but when you work it out accurately it’s the equivalent of 40mpg, which is some difference. It’s actually worse than our previous 2.0i petrol BMW X1 4WD auto (although that was a surprisingly economical car).
January 7, 2026 at 3:43 pm #326767Press are reporting approximately 35mpg with a depleted battery and around 60 miles EV in the warmer weather.
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.
January 9, 2026 at 5:45 pm #330025I have the kodiaq Phev and recently undertook a trip up and down the country with a fully charged battery in hybrid mode , here’s the stats from the phone app to give you an idea of what to expect.
Settings Petrol £1.33 per l – Charging £0.08/kwh (home low rate)
Fuel and charging costs combined £61.11
Av fuel consumption 46.3 mpg
Avg energy consumption 25.9 mi/kwh
Distance 457 miles
av speed 61mph.
January 9, 2026 at 5:52 pm #330026Thanks for that
Its a big lump of a car
Was that all on 1 full tank and 1 full charge
Cheers Christy
January 9, 2026 at 6:05 pm #330028Yes full tank and full charge with three adult occupants . I mostly use it in ECO electric mode and find it economical and a pleasure to drive , ideal for me on a day-to-day basis plus I have the petrol capability for the odd longer journeys. It’s a somewhat different driving experience in hybrid/petrol mode and the engine can be a bit clunky/noisey when town driving compared to eco mode but once on the motorway it’s fine.
January 9, 2026 at 9:28 pm #330036If it helps, Mazda CX 60 phev did 39-40 miles on M3 (with A/C on) during spring time. Then I handed it back to Motability. On mechanical grounds.

Motability VW Touran Family Pack May 2019 (happy customer)January 10, 2026 at 6:54 am #330048We have had our Kodiaq PHEV for a year now and love it! Trying to drive on electric most of the time so we put petrol in every 2-3 months.
Only regret is we couldn’t wait for a factory order and the one at the dealership we went for didn’t have the active ride control or whatever is called, the suspension is very soft, amazing for potholes and straight line driving but around corners you really need to slow down…
And we miss not having a front camera as well.
Ours has all the other toys. Extremely happy with the car, I can only describe it as an honest, unpretentious workhorse, spec it right and you’ll love it! Good luck!January 10, 2026 at 10:47 am #330756 - AuthorReplies
