I can see it being kept because of the ICE/PHEV versions but surely EV3 is going to take from it’s EV sales now? Nice little revamp though.

Like you, I expected the EV3 to be a replacement for the Niro, but I guess with everything thats happening and with uncertainty, manufacturers don’t want all their eggs put in one basket!
The Niro EV was designed and built on a ICE platform, the EV3 is designed and built on a EV only platform it does not allow itself to be adopted for Hybrid or PHEV.
Kia are just hedging their bets not everyone wants an EV.
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.
I do not know the numbers for phev, ice or ev for the korean company.
However, China sold 13 million ICE vehicles last year and 16 million EV, and PHEV vehicles.
Not every country has the infrastructure for ev,s. But do have fuel stations.
Vehicle manufacturers rely in ice sales a lot. We tend to be blinkered by limited and regional statistics.
Its not as if ice vehicles are going out of production anytime soon.
