I’m genuinely curious—why the need to brag about getting a mobility car? There is nothing to boast about here. If you truly need the vehicle for your mobility and independence, then it’s a lifeline, not a status symbol or a trophy to show off. Most of us just want to get on with our lives and manage our own affairs with a bit of dignity. Bragging about it only makes it look like you’ve lost sight of what the support is actually for, and frankly, it’s a bit embarrassing.
Having looked at your four contribution’s since 2024, I can’t help but notice 3 out of the 4 appear on the 30th of the month and you duplicated the two about the private number plate, 2024 and 2026.
You seem to have a knowledge of cars, certainly ev braking, but I can’t help but feel that you could well be a bitter and bored sales person who’s sales were poor at the end of each month and feel’s very bitter about Motability customers getting nice new cars which they pay thousands for and have every right to show the rest of us interested members who love seeing nice new car’s of fellow member’s and certainly Mitch has a cracker, there.
May 30, 2026 at 7:18 pm #361906May 30, 2026 at 7:21 pm #361907yes to be fair it was the first thing he did, also helped set up the star button so i can do it straight from there rather than faff with the menus. i am lining up utube tutorials on some stuff to go through any oddities i find. as i do struggle for some reason with tech. i havent looked at much other than standard reveiws prior to it arriving as it would have done my head in. so the basics are there it drives beutifully the regen is excellant level 3 is my go to,and i can play music so what more do i need for now lol. as things crop up i will consult the library or ask on here lol. the fun bit will be in 290 miles time when it wants feeding.lol.
Youre still thinking like you have an ice car.
With evs, tge mantras
Charge early and charge often.
Tyr and keep your battery at 80%! Unless you are doing a long run, then charge to 109%
Ev batteries don’t like being discharged totally, and they also don’t lije sitting at 100% for ages, it reduces tge lufe if tge battery long term
May 30, 2026 at 8:43 pm #361915I have been following your journey for the last few months, congratulations I am genuinely happy the car meets your needs. Enjoy it mate, you can’t control those who like to hate, unfortunately occasionally there are those who like to piss of your firework. That says more about them than you. Happy motoring.
May 30, 2026 at 8:52 pm #361916Great car @Mitch
I found when I was test driving the Kia’s and Hyundai’s.
It was actually quick to speak what I wanted to the car.
It even opened and closed sunroofs. It’s much easier to speak to those cars while driving.
I hope the Skoda Enyaq’s ‘Laura’ acts a similar way.
I have ASD and thus have difficulty with social and understanding information, written and verbal. I process information in logical blocks, before I reply. Sometimes I'm right and sometimes I'm wrong.
I also have a corneal visual condition, which makes me visually impaired without daytime, or daytime bulbs, among other disabilities/conditions.May 30, 2026 at 8:56 pm #361918I hope the Skoda Enyaq’s ‘Laura’ acts a similar way.
Laura’s a bit hit and miss, not too bad and she is improving. I ask her to play LBC, 9 times out of 10 she does it. She even understands when I ask her to put car in Eco Mode
May 30, 2026 at 9:01 pm #361919When we looked at the EV3 we viewed the EV4 unfortunately a bit on the low side for me, must admit stunning car.
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.
May 30, 2026 at 9:55 pm #361920@oscarmax, i was suprised as it is a bit lower than my previous cars juke and countryman however on all the test drives and so far i havent had any issues once i got the seat setup and it doesnt feel any lower and the veiw out front is excellant. when we were looking i fully expected it to be too low. so noones more suprised than me.so far so good.
@southamman, yes its a new way of thinking alright, to be fair everyones warned me about the charging aspect esp as i cant have a home charger. so i am considering a fortnightly schedule once i see if it tempts me out a bit more. on current mileage it would be 30 to 80% on each charge. but i will see how that goes.May 31, 2026 at 12:21 am #361922I.ve charged mine to 90% every time.
Its a lease car, you only gave it for 3 years.
My next car uses an LFP battery and thats got to be charged to 100%.
You will be surprised how fast it charges on a fast charger.
I used a charger next to costas. I plugged it in went for a coffee and just sat down when it would ping to say its charged from 30 to 90%.
May 31, 2026 at 12:27 am #361923@Callmejohn Good spot! I guess we can expect a reply on 30th June or maybe 30th July 😂
Its probably his day release from prison.
30th of each month.

Most cars will take a bit of time to get used to your driving style, then (especially with a new EV) you’ll do something out of character like charge away from some lights to embarrass some idiot😁then it’ll start again. It’s the reason it’s called a Guess-O-Meter, it’s never better than a rough guess.
More importantly, how was that drive? Encouraging you to get out more?

June 8, 2026 at 7:44 pm #363285Good to hear you got out a bit.
June 8, 2026 at 8:08 pm #363287i have to say it drives beautifully very well mannered even at speed and the seats are very comfortable and the headrests especially are excellant. with luck assuming i recover from the physio ok i will be going back to the gym more regularly but also i am planning a few scenic drives out lets face it with the peak district and the dales here abouts it would be rude not to. you certainly have to take it easy on the throttle its very quick off the mark.
