I loved this beast. Also on the paper it looks great.
As usual cannot take for a test drive  even if I want to due to lack of left foot accelerator.

Hence the question if anyone can share heir thoughts / took it for a drive.

I always remember the new  e3008 garnishing its fair share of complaints, even on this forum, including poor range for such a battery size. Then there was numerous early terminations on this forum, if I remember rightly.

Based on the Stellantis’s STLA Medium platform, which also underpins the Peugeot 3008 (as mentioned), Citroën C5 Aircross, and Vauxhall Grandland none the less.

I was hoping that because Dr Google said Jeep used the platform,  but developed their own vehicle,  with entirely different rear engine,  the quality will be slightly better.

Especially as it should be drivable on our country lanes. Not M, A or B, but proper lanes,  to give a worthy fight to @BigDave’s tractor.

Whether it will give a big enough fight to farmer Dave’s tractor or even a defender is questionable, but it shoild manage holed dirt tracks easy enough with 200mm ground clearance and the right tyres

Unless, as per your previous comment, it is 3008 in a different wrapper. 🙂

N.B. In another life I had Isuzu Trooper 3.2L – 3.5L (cannot recall now) short petrol beast. So many good memories from all those trips it managed. Sometimes with our Newfoundland in the back.

Whils’t the new Vauxhall Grandland electric is bit down on power, due to using the 73kWh battery compared to Jeep, its still AWD, which makes me think, its still very much all Stellantis under the coat, in the same way as VW group cars are for example.

I don’t know when its launching, but the new electric Freelander might be worth a look.

The Trooper had good  off road capabilities back in the day and lives on as a pickup. Shame the baby Landcruiser isn’t coming to europe, mind you, the baby Defender is due early next year as an EV!
