Was charging at Magor earlier today when this pulled in opposite. I didn’t recognise the badge and wondered if it was a BYD (that I haven’t really looked over yet) Anyway, got out and chatted to the guys – It’s a pre-production car that they’re testing for UK roads etc and testing different charger providers etc. This is the J Y Air ( no idea on spelling of jay why) Its their first car and it’s called Air because they are an aeronautics company in China. This is the larger battery version (64kwh) with a 300+ range. The Chinese chap was saying that they should have completed all the UK hurdles by about Sept and a likely UK launch early spring next year

Those who like knobs and switches won’t be happy! I said as much and he said they are aware that a large proportion don’t like everything on touch screen, especially for oft used things, so there might be changes

Probably, his English was a lot better than my Chinese but my old ears did struggle with the accent now and again! Lol
