When there’s been a large amount of rain which created a big puddle, is it illegal to slash someone whilst going past? Someone said to me a few years ago it was

In short, yes it is. And can lead to fixed penalty notices.

And there is me thinking an ill eagle is a sick bird

In 2005 I suffered a brain injury which has left me with mental and physical disabilities.
Unfortunately I do get confused and get things wrong, so I apologise in advance.

Driving through a big puddle carelessly and getting a passer-by can see you get three to nine points on your licence and a fine of up to £5,000.

This is because the Road Traffic Act 1988, Section 3, states: ‘If a person drives a mechanically propelled vehicle on a road or other public place without due care and attention, or without reasonable consideration for other persons using the road or place, he is guilty of an offence.’

And if I found you after you had done it you would also have a sore face. Never mind points.

Mens Rea. Prosecution would need to prove you knew there was a person who could be splashed and that you knew there was a puddle with which to splash them.  Of course if witnesses saw the glee on your face as you did it, their evidence would do.

I woukd be more worried about damaging the car by going into an open drain or potholes than splashing a pedestrian tbh
