As the title, can we go anywhere elsewhere for tyres and puncture repairs? Need a tyre repair/ replaced, our local Kwick Fit are not very good, you can’t book in, it’s a matter of just turn up and leave the car for a few hours.

You can arrange for kwik fit to come to you. Can be booked on their website.

            ^^This.

It’s the lesser of two evils! Mobile fitting all the way vs dealing with the clowns in the garage. Quick photo of the wheels before the chap arrives doesn’t do any harm either.

Do they repair punctures on the mobile service?

                  yes they will do repairs.

                  From https://www.kwik-fit.com/tyres/mobile-tyre-fitting

Puncture repairs also available. If your tyre can be repaired rather than replaced, the mobile fitting technician will return the tyres and you will receive a refund for the difference.

I would say a mobile guy would be better qualified his job, than a junior working at the fast fit centre.

I’m ex motor trade and had a set of tyres fitted to a VW transporter at home a few years ago…..the guy new what he was doing ..I was watching him like a hawk !

Let them come to you ….then the only inconvince to you is opening the front door and giving him the keys ????

Last mobile guy I had out turned out to be a maths teacher who had just decided to change career as conditions were better as a mobile tyre fitter lol.

Having worked in schools I can believe it the amount of infighting & backstabbing in schools & the kids aren’t much better ?

Motability Scheme customers can use Tyre city and STS Tyre Pros as well as Kwik Fit.

If you do end up going to Kwik fit, go as soon as they open and you should be out within an hour or so usually

Well that’s good to know I can use “Tyre City” because the place I used to use was Kwikfit but they changed their name to Tyre City awhile ago and I assumed I could not go there any more.

I think with Kwikfit it depends on the branch you go to

I have used the same  nearest to me in Cardiff for years and I have always had excellent service.(  They do seem to book cars in but I have never actually done it so  I don’t know how closely they stick to times

I have always  just turned up (or been towed by the RAC!) for an emergency but don’t usually have to wait too long (about 2 hours is the most). My previous Motability car had about 8 punctures in the three years and this one has had 4 or 5 (lots of potholes and careless people in Cardiff) so I am a fairly regular user

I had a lex leasing van a decade or so ago & local kwikfit said to me who repaired this puncture it’s in the sidewall (I was horrified). I said well the only place I go to is here, at this point they shit up quickly.

Never went there again that was Wisbech

Privately I’ve only had good experience with STS Tyres Pro locally who are also usable on Motability. Nearest Kwikfit is 30 miles from me so no good.
