Has anyone looked into this car and what is your impression? Would it be good for a wheelchair user on a daily basis (not for me)?

I agree,  but it has to be EV.

There’s not a huge choice of BEVs if you’re after an estate car instead of the usual trend of SUVs.  The ID7 isn’t particularly popular, maybe because the trend for size is upwards rather than traditional estates, but seems as well built as the rest of the ID range.  It’s better than the MG5 which is the alternative for a large estate car.

Does it have to be a traditional tourer/estate or has Mark has said cars seem t be getting taller and longer, so something along the lines of vehicles like the MGS6 that ooze boot space practicality more than the actual id7.

Must admit though, you can’t beat a good tourer, not as the VW sits in that category but, thats just my opinion

Yes, the mate loved ID. 7 Tourer – he found it very comfortable and loaded (GTX trim). I have no opinion on ID.7, hence asking around.

Perhaps best he looks at the journo & owner reviews on the car & particular trim, as doubt its going to be a popular subject on here mate 🙂

Unfortunately the Superb estate hasn’t been on Motability’s list for over a year and as the Passat has never been on the list, it is doubtful that the iD 7 will be available. Very few large estate cars ,(non SUV’s), on the list other than the Volvo V60 and the MG6. It helps to discourage the severely disabled from using Motability.

The superb is plugin hybrid, not sure why you need full ev?

I do remember the passat being on the scheme in the past, but I went for the superb estate instead as it felt a better car.

On the scheme currently, there is only the mgs6 that they class as an estate, all others are petrol or plug in hybrid.

                        When is your change date?

If I remember correctly, the Subaru Outback was available on motability earlier in the year, maybe it will come back. The Outback has never been particularly popular in the UK but boy is it popular in Australia and the States. I had a Subaru Legacy, same as the Outback but lower suspension, from 2004 until last year, 21 years, and boy was that a good car!
