CarlI had the pleasure to test drive this great car, but there is a now a plug in hybrid and pure electric version which almost makes this hybrid version redundant in my opinion.
March 14, 2020 at 1:16 pm #109302Is it high up to get in Carl ? My Golf is a it low now I have back problems
March 14, 2020 at 1:53 pm #109306The Kona has the same engine internals as other cars from the group (Kia Niro hybrid & Hyundai Ioniq hybrid) so it’s just more choice on the Scheme, Ioniq for the most efficiency, Kona for the small SUV looks, Niro for the larger luggage space & more legroom for rear passengers.
Having sat in a Kona I like it very much from the drivers seat, having driven the Niro I like that too, however, I’d ideally want the full EV versions of these cars, not the dirty fossil burners.
March 14, 2020 at 2:01 pm #109308Another EV, great news, is this going to be the year motability goes green?
I sure hope so.

CarlMenorca Mike… yes you sit higher in the vehicle so it’s very easy to man over into and out of the vehicle. It felt very well put together. As mentioned above it sits on the same platform as the kia models….and it’s just a matter of time before the plug in hybrid becomes available so happy days!!
March 14, 2020 at 3:03 pm #109313Thankyou Carl

BrydoLooks good Mike.
As with all Hybrid Mike its efficiency largely depends on how you use it. If you do lots of short journey’s then Hybrids are really efficient. If however you do a lot of long journey’s they are less so.
March 16, 2020 at 2:31 pm #109451Brydo I do a lot short journeys in my village.

brydoMike if that’s the case a hybrid would be great for you and will save you a lot of money. Although with benidorm off limits where will you spend it?
March 16, 2020 at 4:17 pm #109455I’m a very tight fisted person Brydo so I will save it

EllyWe went to see this yesterday. It’s not as high as I prefer but it’s a nice little car. We couldn’t find a way to adjust the height in the passenger seat and there was no one free to ask. If the height doesnt adjust it’s too low for me as a passenger but the drivers seat was ok. Another car I’m on the fence about! ?
March 16, 2020 at 5:23 pm #109459Is it’s high as a VW Tiguan ?
March 16, 2020 at 6:43 pm #109467I like your style Mike.

EllyNo Mike it’s not! ?
March 17, 2020 at 8:09 am #109503It’s a shame these vehicles aren’t bigger, that’s going to be a problem for many of us with kids and grandkids who carry scooters and chairs etc if nothing suitable is available to us.
March 17, 2020 at 8:28 am #109505i liked the kona when i was looking found the drivers seat and position very comfortable and the build did seem very good, about the size of an arona but felt that bit more upmarket although the price reflected that.
i thought a little pricey even though the quality seemed better than the arona etc. went for the countryman in the end and i am v happy i did as the deal was better overall and ive got it whereas i could still be waiting and who knows when deliveries are going to be made with the factories closing at the rate they are.
March 17, 2020 at 8:35 am #109507I’m not not changing for a year so by then there will be many more hybrids I’m sure available
