It’s now two months since I picked up the Ionic 5 and just under 1800 miles and it’s probably the best car from motability that I have had and that includes a BMW and a Skoda octavia VRS 4×4 and definitely the best EV I’ve driven. Compared to the Nissan Ariya that it replaced, it’s night and day better. Don’t get me wrong the Ariya was/is a very good car but it felt like a barge round corners the Ionic 5 on the other hand so much better.

If you get the chance to drive one or looking to change to a EV I would .

They’re pretty good cars aren’t they.  The new version solves a few problems, including the rear wiper.

I’d agree with that, my Ioniq 5 awd was the pick of the many cars we tested. Great range, a little thirsty as awd, but at less than £6 a fill its hardly an issue. Love the interior in grey (white) and the 330hp/605Nm makes overtakes a breeze.

Now 14 months in, 14,000 miles and no issues except the boot lid rattle, which took me 2 minutes to fix.

In life, it's not who you know that's important, it's how your wife found out.
