Hyundai App and Ohme for EV

Hi guys I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong or not understanding something correctly and was hoping for some advice.

I collected Hyundai kona EV yesterday and have a Bluelink account which is connected to the car. I have octopus intelligent Tarrif but am having trouble pairing the car in the ohme app for precise charging.

When I’m trying to pair ohme and Hyundai I enter my bluelink account details and it comes up with a error message can’t sign in. I tried resetting password with my Hyundai and it doesn’t recognise my account, I try creating an account and it doesn’t recognise my details.

I haven’t yet successfully managed to charge the car and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, ohme customer support says unpair the car then try again setting it up but it’s not paired in the first place, I’ve logged out and re logged in manually to confirm details are correct.

Did anyone else have this issue and how do I fix it

      Thanks in advance

Hi, last few days I noticed I couldn’t pair the car with home pro charger , I have a Hyundai Ioniq 5 , so it could be system wide, unless we’re both just unlucky x

        Cheers, all the very best

It might be the new Hyundai App.  Bluelink works perfectly well with the Ohme charger I have.  I’ve heard of a few who have changed to the new app and found it troublesome, it wouldn’t be a huge shock to find it’s not working well either some chargers too.

Thank you for the information I’ll speak to ohme on Monday and see what they suggest as a work around.

As far as I know I don’t have a Hyundai app only bluelink but when trying to pair in home app it won’t work – it is the home pro charger

Didn’t have any issues with our Ohme + Bluelink app (Ioniq 6) – but i haven’t tried the Hyundai app, refuse to use it due to bugs (showing range in km etc).

That said: while you wait for them to get back to you, you can still charge the car. In the Ohme app, set a schedule to charge only from 11:30pm to 5:30am, departure time like 10am next day (you have to set a departure time).

It will not take advantage of the “intelligent” part of Intelligent Go, but you still get discounted charging. Just slightly less convenient. Allows you to use the car proper at least.

edit: though, if the VW app is anything to go by, server issues are common – may be some issue Hyundai-side.

It’s a problem with Ohme and Hyundai.

I received this reply from Ohme
