My screen had problems since Day 1, having a blank screen which meant any functions that in the old days could be sorted twiddling buttons, means no, like, heating, fan, media, bluetooth phone, heated seats, mileage, tyre pressures, etc.

After 6 months, WAV went in for oil change, so had a software update as I mentioned infortainment screen difficulties.  Now it’s only blank every so often rather than every other journey but I just wonder, is it a Ford technical difficulty thing?

Blank screen is a common issue with Sync 3, which can become buggy or outdated etc. Checking you have the latest Sync version, key cycle and soft reset will fix it.

Hi kezo,

Ford did a software update 3000 miles ago/Nov when it was in for an oil change a service.  I’ve had 3 months with no problems, now it has started again.  As I say, everything literally stops working, except thankfully the cruise control.  I’ve never known such poor basic technical efficiency in a vehicle before.
