tomorrow i collect my next lease and somebody said to me today whats your SoT i said 28% right now but probably be 15% by tomorrow.   they said to check as when they returned their lease car to provider it had to have 50% SoT.   so i looked on Motability website and it does say needs to be at minimum 30%

for sake of one more charge tonight not going to risk the GCB

It’s always worth the reminder, thanks.

It does lead to one question though, why can a dealer hand out a brand new car with just enough charge to get to the nearest public charger but we have to return it with a reasonable amount of charge?  Surely the minimum should suit both examples?

With petrol I make sure it’s down to minimum to get to dealers because that’s how you get it and even then you have paid for whatever is in it.

I’ve always returned my cars with whatever is in the tank, including the EV.

I didn’t know that, interesting thanks.

And in my recent experience, my last two cars have been BEVs and both have had 100% battery on collection day (BMW i3s and Hyundai IONIQ 5).
