The good news is I’ve got a date for the delivery of an Astra Sports Tourer I ordered in August last year. The bad news is there are “ongoing talks” about the future of Ellesmere Port with the possibility of total closure.

Just my luck that the plant closes the day before my car is finished. It’s been the same old tale all the way through.

Congratulations on the new car. If that devastating decision is made, suspect would coincide with the introduction of the next generation Astra. Honda Swindon shuts soon with the end of current model civic production, with the new one made in Japan. Thanks EU, you knew exactly what you were doing with the new tariff agreements with Japan.
