That is going to help out no end as I have wall to wall hospital appointments and procedures throughout June.
Just received an email telling me I can order a new car 2 weeks early. Was due to order on the 28th June they say I can order from the 13th June. So that it is all sorted before the 1st July.
Nice to have some good news for once! That should take the pressure off a bit. As you say, you can get it all sorted before doomsday!
I went today and ordered a VW Tiguan Black edition, DSG Diesel. nothing on online account to say I could order early. It was on the system in the showroom to say I could order from today. Probably the last diesel car I will ever get. Arrived home and had an email thanking me for ordering.
Told me they are currently taking about 3/4 months to arrive which suits as I can not collect until the end of September. At least all done on the current terms before the July changes appear.
My online account still shows the original renewal date, not the revised date of 13th June. As I will driving nearly 100 miles to sort out the car, is there anyway I can establish the dealer has the 13th June on their records without me being there in person?

So does mine, but when I went on Saturday he asked for NI number and DOB and it was on the Motability system. By the time I was home I had application received, application approved and my pin. Phone whichever dealer first and ask them to confirm it is on the system.

Indeed. A clever move on Motability’s behalf that people who accept it may live to regret. When I asked Direct Line for my driver record last week they told me that they are dealing with “thousands” of people who are looking to leave the scheme!

the one I have seen their window doesn’t open till after the 1st July so they would come under the new rules anyway
