A family day out at the cinema this weekend first time since covid. Nearly three hours in a packed hall so a bit apprehensive.

Really enjoyable at the cinema this afternoon, as good a bond film as I’ve seen.

I’m looking forward to seeing it. I’ll probably be waiting until it’s available to stream or it’s on tv.  I think Daniel Craig is an excellent bond. I’m looking forward to finding out who the next Bond will be

DB there’s nothing like seeing it in the cinema, i stream lots of stuff and only go to the cinema now and again, but to see it on the big screen at a decent picture house, there’s nothing to compare.

The only person who got all his work done by Friday was Robinson Crusoe.
Anything i post over three lines long please assume it is an article lol.

I sister saw it last week and she says it’s brilliant.

Georgie its a long film but doesn’t feel it.

My kids think I’m crazy as I refuse to buy food, drink or sweets in the cinema, so I had my can of juice in one pocket, a packet of gums in the other and a bag of salt and vinegar crisps in another (I’m a four pocket jacket kind of guy lol) £1.80. They got two ice thingys £11 and a bag of gums £5+.

Their old man can still teach them a thing or two.

I didn’t get where I am by wasting money lol.

Yes good advice there Brydo, I go in weighed down with goodies…🤣

Must admit though haven’t been in years, the over laughing out loud gets on my nerves, and I end up watching away from the big screen due to those reasons, Also the guy with the largest head always plonks his bonce right in the way, then he’s up and down like he’s siht his pants 🤨, just sit down in there…👍

ajn many cinema have massive adjustable leather seats with plenty of room back and front. Its the first time I’ve been since covid and they had taken the time during the pandemic to refurbish it and it was a joy.

Not sure if it was all older generation watching as I didn’t hear a sound. At well over 2 hours there were frequent toilet visits lol.

It was a very nice experience ajn and having pockets full of sweets and crisps certainly helps.

I like the original Casino Royale. The opening scene sets the tone for the film.

Sister says there are some really comfy adjustable seats at the cinema she goes to, but you have to pay extra for them – only £2 extra in the mornings but a lot more in the evenings.  I haven’t been able to go to a cinema for over a decade due to back trouble, but this new ‘comfy seat’ option might just get me back.

From Russia with Love and (sorry, but yes) Live and Let Die are my favourites.

Georgie noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Roger Moore was the worst Bond eveeeeeeeer, absolutely hopeless, alright in “The Saint” though.

    My top 5 bonds are:

    Goldeneye

    Goldfinger

    The spy who loved me

    Casino Royale

    From Russia with love

There’s loads of other good ones and most of them are close. The only ones I don’t really like are moonraker (starts well and ends terribly) and die another day for the same reason. I hated never say never again and the less said about that the better

DB very similar to me but I’m going to open it up a bit, if I may, and look for best Bond, best evil adversary and ………… wait for it ………….. best Bond song.

It’s hard to pick a best bond. Brosnan is the one I grew up with so I like him. Connery is classic so has to be up there but I also think Craig is excellent so any of those really. Going to stray off the path for best baddie and say max zorin with mayday. Thought they were excellent. Best song is you only live twice definitely. What are yours?

I know.  I’m sorry.  By and large I much preferred Sean Connery’s ‘Bond’, but From Russia and L and L D are the ones I watch the most.

    Oh, and Moonraker.  >:-D

Sean and Brosnan best for me. Sam smith’s “Writing’s on the Wall” classic. Best villain “Scaramanga”

How about the “worst” bond films? Octopussy, the man with the golden gun and Die another day with the vanishing car!
