for reasons unknown i just left my water dd and never really looked at the bills until last month. in fact i think i just assumed i was on a meter. anyway meter installed on the 6th and already my dd has reduced by £20 and the account is £38 in credit. so once its been in a while i think it will go down more.since the 6th it is still only registering on the red nmbers which ou dont pass on so it hasnt even registered 1 on the black numbers.

once its been in a couple of months i will update this.

It depends on how you use water.  My mum is frugal with water with the exception of having a boiler that takes ages to produce boiling water, her bills were less than £40 but jumped following the new boiler.

Her neighbour washed clothes daily, everyone showers twice daily and cars are washed weekly.  There’s a huge difference between the two bills.

@Mitch there is also watersure that caps you bill on a water meter and one based on benefits (council tax reduction, housing benefit, disabilty etc), its worth looking at the support section on your water supply company.
