I have just read in the Guardian Ford have sent out RED 26,000 letters in early March to all Ford Kuga PHEV not to plug in and recharge the PHEV due batteries catching fire to date Ford does not fix, this is the second time because of potential fire hazard. In 2020 27,000 batteries were replaced

We cancelled our Ford Kuga in June 2023 due to fire hazard due to engine failure, Ford fix to drill holes in the sump guard to dissipate the engine oil when the engine failed.
