Went from North Norfolk to Thorpe Park on 19th stayed at Premier Inn (which ran outta pillows ffs).

Anyway about 160 miles each way. It was a mix of roads from C roads to Motorway. I really enjoyed the driving I put the ACC on and let the car do everything accelerating, braking and steering. Obviously staying completely hands on.

Didn’t come across a single issue with the car it detected mandatory temp speed limits on the M25 fine. Handled stop start, handbrake in traffic too in fact for several miles coming home I touched nothing in stop start motorway traffic.

I even got to our destinations and didn’t hurt or need to really stretch it out.

I did stop for a bit at McDonald’s and use a rapid charger too much really as I only needed about 5% but cost me £30 on the Motability go charge card. So all in all whole round trip cost me £30.

I’m expecting the £70 back from Premier in under their room guarantee 3 pillows for 4 people isn’t acceptable.

Anyway car an absolute beast loved being in it loved driving it all the tech worked as expected and in the end the trip was 4 miles per kwh

Sounds like you’re having fun with the new Enyaq, really pleased for you!

Mine is still in transit but imminent!

I must admit that I’m a little apprehensive about using all the driving aids, something I’ve got to get used to. Only got cruise & speed limiter on the Mercedes although I do use them when able! It’s currently in at the MB specialist having some repairs & a service,  £1400 apparently to pay out tomorrow! The Enyaq delivery delay has cost me!

It does what it says on the tin.

Well I figure given the numbers who have bad experiences with new cars lately it was worth highlighting that it’s not all bad. People rarely cheer when things are going as expected or better so it was worth balancing the scales.

It’s interesting I didn’t even realise before getting the car it had all these travel assist functions on top of the usual ACC and sign recognition. Watching the steering wheel turn is creepy and cool lol.

I didn’t get many kW as it was Instavolt. I could’ve shopped about but just wanted to charge and eat. It was about 34kw which is terrible but the previous load was free from solar so I just shrugged my shoulders lol
