I see no honda Civic now and a whopping over £4000 Ap for Toyota Yaris GR Sport that is the highest I have ever seen on a small car holy moly.

To be honest this list on motability is the worst I have ever seen in being a customer over 20 years for outrageous prices and not sure where the justification comes from MG 4 used to be good value now £4999 AP. Surly now enough is enough the scheme is unaffordable now for most disabled unless you want a basic car which is what the AP were on the top spec a while ago. I do think now lots will desert the scheme which is sad.
October 1, 2026 at 9:40 am #384549Skoda octavia both hatch and estate in scheme, but only base level and ridiculous APs
Jaecoo 7 only one car and that’s base spec at higher ap.
Either motabilitynis taking the pizz, or the scheme us dead in the water, as majority of leashes are on basic benefits and can’t afford these aps

I’d say an equal mix of both.

October 1, 2026 at 1:34 pm #384579There’s usually deals on MG, with cars like the ZS hybrid+ aleady seeing offer of a few hundred on BigDaves offers thread
October 1, 2026 at 2:13 pm #384586After 19 years on the scheme (20 years soon), it is sadly time for me to explore other options away from Motability. The crazy, crazy AP’s mean that I have lost all faith in Motability to help me with ‘affordable freedom’ via the use of a car & it looks as though I will be going down the private lease route or maybe even a good, reasonably-priced second hand car option.
RIP Motability. It’s been a wonderful, helpful journey/partnership up until now… but enough is enough, sadly.
October 1, 2026 at 11:55 pm #384619The MB strategy, guided by the Government, other political parties, right wing press and the general able bodied public is to get the MB customer number’s down and to mostly offer small basic cars for traveling from A to B, with absolutely no regards for their disabled customers very individual and essential needs, which can only be fully met by as large as possible range of cars.
Some TV media programme needs to sit down with the CEO and get him to justify MB’s strategy and contractual obligations to meet it’s disabled customers needs, which is the very purpose of MB’s existence.
