The EV2 is a serious downgrade with the AP and you do lose some features over the EV3, but most notable the bootspace is so much smaller, and the shape of the boot is just gonna prove impractical.
I swear the scheme doesnt seem to care about wheelchair users especially those that need electric wheelchairs or mobility scooters.

@shaan200 I totally agree, Motability has totally lost all sense of purpose in attempting to meet the needs of “All Of”. it’s disabled customers and their very individual disabled needs, by pandering to the propaganda of none customers, who are not disabled.They need to meet their disabled customers needs by offering the largest selection of cars possible by size, AP’s, makes, specifications, optional extras ( at our own expense )and adaption’s, that are available to them and us, their disabled customer, that they have the monopoly contract to supply us with.
They need to get away from the attitude that our needs can all be met by non AP cars, that could meet the needs of non disabled customers, which is not their remit, or purpose for existing.
This would also minimize the problem caused by some cars disappearing from their list at short notice, if there was a larger list of suitable cars, in the first place.
I mean as point goes on before no i dont hope for that, if anything the Ariya should stay on the scheme rather than the leaf removing it. In an ideal world both would stay on
I mean in your case maybe but the leaf is far less impractical for those that use electric wheelchair or wheelchairs in general. Id honestly prefer the scheme to actually review each car to make sure they are suitable for users and not replace a car for one thats makes it worse for them
I did notice myself the Ev3 going awol and a few days later the Ev2 pops up
i had taken a shine to the Ev3 , the model GT Line S , so much so I recently had a 3 hour test drive of one about 2 weeks ago
was in no rush to order as I figured that with the EV3 being my 1st all electric buggy that I would try a few others
sods law that it disappeared ( for now ) and I see Kia now trying to fill their order books for the smaller EV2
Just messing around earlier looking on the configurator and boy have they done a number on us…

EV2 GT Line S – rrp £37 ( approx ) – AP – £3299

by all means push your new model but when it’s roughly £7k difference per car where does that saving go? certainly not to us 😭
Thats not even mentioning the massive power reduction down from 208 to 133hp, The obvious Size , Storage and Access to the much smaller Ev2

Im sure the Ev2 is a great little car in its own way and will suit some members, but even if it was at the top of my list id give them the old 2 finger salute on a point of principle
That £7k saving above mentioned downgrades with not 1 penny coming our way in regards to a lower AP would stick in my throat and keep me awake at night

On a separate note some of these AP’s are atrocious which makes me feel like leaving the scheme.
I’m prepared to put down £3k or maybe £4K but not sure I can justify it anymore.
Yes as Chipper says , it does not have any impact on any orders already placed. So just sit back, put your feet up, relax and watch the World tear itself apart lol

I hope so, I’ve just had the charger installed and that wasn’t a complete success ! If the EV3 does arrive, and I keep it for three years AND when it’s replaced I don’t have a long wait. My warranty with Ohme will be around 2 1/2 years. 6 months gone because I jumped early on the install and delays with the EV3.
I had already posted this info about the Ohme charger warranty extension (see link) re posting here as you made mention as it may be of some use to you at a later date
Seems Ohme contact you before the 3yr warranty ends and they offer motorbility customers ( only ) a further 2yr warrant extension which I gather was around £100 or so
Personalty as that 3yr deadline nears
I will be contacting them and not wait to be contacted 1st
