Hi all, I am driving to France for a much overdue break since my spinal surgery in 2024. I can now last about 2 hours in the car before I have to rest.  Anyway, has anyone travelled to France and had to get their Crit Air stickers, I have to fill out the form online using the V5C of my car, but the motability copy does not have all the details to complete it.  Has anybody had any luck in doing this?

      Thanks

      Dave

You may not need a crit’air sticker, as it’s only for certain areas.

Having said that Motability has a dedicated phone number, handled by the RAC, who should provide you with advice, and the V103 certificate which you’ll also need.

        0800 731 3310

Failing that it’s a call to the regular Motability number to ask them to generate / provide the missing details.

We normally drive to France three times a year. You have an EV plus a blue badge. Personally I wouldn’t bother.

You do have to call Motability to request V103 as per recommendation above, yet again, last time I forgot mine has expired and ordered a new one just a day before travelling and went off without. Obviously I was stopped on a border with Germany 🙂 and have been asked by the German police why my front number plate is white, when in the UK it should be yellow, so had to explain it is only at the rear. Then the gentlemen asked to produce some proof the car is mine and I entirely forgot about the old V103.

Eventually found it somewhere under 8 stones dog in the boot, whom I had to shove in before he would jump and lick them. No question asked about why it is expired.

As to the charging – I stopped buying ionity or Tesla monthly membership – there are other cheap local networks where you pay 0.31 Euro per kWh. Just consult Dr Google.
