Looks like quite a few have already started to shut down, details on the CNN Business news site,

Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!

CarlWhat will this mean for the mobility scheme, if they cant produce cars then we cant get them ?
March 16, 2020 at 8:40 pm #109478I have been quite fortunate our next Motability car is UK held stock, I was supplied the vehicles chassis no several days after placing my order.
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.

AnonymousHi All,
First time user, so please go easy, very nervous. My car was ordered in February and it’s scheduled for collection at the end of April. It’s a citron, is there any way for me find out if the car been delivered to the dealership. Would trying mobility themselves be worth a try? Just worried with all the Coronavirus and factors shutting down I don’t how this might affect myself I understand that the country as whole as lot to worry about, never my car. I just don’t know what the process is now. Any help would be very much appreciated. I hope this finds you all in good health and will continue to do so.

The supplying dealer will be able to advise you on this.

AnonymousThank you, Roly.
March 17, 2020 at 10:26 am #109515Our Citroen dealer struggled to get info on our build, the dates they got was
“order accepted at factory” = ?? God knows
“its built awaiting shipment (at factory gate)” = up to 2 weeks to ship to UK
“its in the UK” = up to 2 weeks to delivery to dealer.
“its t the dealer” = 1-2 weeks to you.
But, as first timer Mobility and with a standard spec car, we managed to swap our order to a factory built car arriving 6 weeks quicker. The colour changed from blue to red, but I wasn’t bothered about that.
In life, it's not who you know that's important, it's how your wife found out.

Carl do not put your health at risk its is only a car, all I can suggest can maybe Motability may be able to do it all over the phone with the dealer ?

BluecloudUKThis might seem a bit mean on your part but even if the car is ready for collection, your contract with Motability hasn’t started. The lease starts on the day that you enter your PIN.
If you have been told to self-isolate or, God forbid, been hospitalised by the virus, the dealer will have to wait.
As a first time customer you may not know that some less scrupulous dealerships have taken paperwork and entered the PIN, triggering the lease. Customers have found faults or problems and had difficulties with the dealerships.
Keep your PIN in a safe place at all times.

Clipped wingsThanks JS for the link. Letter due to re- order in two weeks and was going for a near identical replacement. As wife and I are both classified high risk now think a lease extension is the prudent option.
