Paul WebbWell just received an email from the Peugeot dealer saying the car will be ready for us to collect at 10am on the 1st March, they even gave us a list of reg numbers to choose from. this change over has been the smoothest of all the mobility orders we have had despite the supply problems, they haven’t caused any delay at all on this order.
Will report back next week hopefully to say it all went well and we have the car, fingers crossed.

Paul+WebbHi Ianto
That doesn’t sound right to me about DVLA selecting the number, from what our dealer said they get a block of numbers allocated at a time and they can choose any number in that block for new car sales. Its not a big deal or show stopper if we couldn’t choose a number but just nice if you can and find one with some meaning to you. that way you will be likely to remember it! my wife has just about got use to the old reg a week before the car goes back Hi.
anyway i hope your car pickup goes well.

IantoThanks for the reply. I shall point it out to the salesman. See what his response is. Cheers

LeeMy dealer also said I couldn’t pick a reg, probs couldn’t be arsed to be honest lol.
I picked my peugeot 2008 gt up yesterday and although mines a petrol I’m peed off it hasn’t come with front fog lights so no cornering function,no wireless charger and grey roof liner which was supposed to be black in the gt and no blind spot monitoring also,I didn’t get told or even shown around,is there anyway to complain or because I didn’t remember everything that’s supposed to be on it I got no choice?
February 23, 2023 at 9:58 pm #210218Hi Lee,
Sorry to hear that your not to happy, the current spec of the GT doesnt have Fog lights at the front, the wireless charger as also been removed from the list as well as the blind spot monitoring, its been that way over a year i believe , when did you order yours? . i did think it had a black roof lining but some people say that it makes the car dark inside so maybe they have gone for grey now???? I will have a look at the current spec sheet and see what that says. we get ours next Wednesday so i am hoping we get the current spec and nothing from that is missing (heated seats, front parking sensors are two i want for sure)
hope these things don’t distract to much from the car for you.

Paul+WebbHi Lee
just checked on the online spec sheets and it does say that on all models that the roof lining is mistral black.
you say yours is grey, that not listed (as far as i can see) at all. very strange….

LeeHi,Paul,
thanks for reply,I looked on the spec sheet and only gt and premium get black apparently also says both get fog lights and wireless charging but I did hear the wireless was been removed recently but not the fog lights and blind spot monitoring as its still on the spec and price list I think. The car I’ve got was a cancelled one that was at sheerness port already but apart from them things its a great car, I love it lol
February 24, 2023 at 7:48 am #210227
LeeYou were right about all that stuff missing,I was looking at an oldish spec sheet,I guess I didn’t do much homework lol but to be fair I still love the car and hope you like yours too,not long left for you now ?
February 24, 2023 at 9:10 am #210238Hi Lee
When i ordered mine (Nov 22) i assumed it came with foglights and wireless charger too, the photos i had seen all showed the front fogs and the reviews on youtube did and also the wireless charger. thats a problem often with youtube reviews. the reviews, looking back are 2 years old now and show the old gear change lever too.
most people say that the wireless charger is very poor and we dont seem to get the fogs like when i was younger. so yes losing out on the cornering lights but thats about it. the blind spot monitor is now a option, would have been nice but thats life 🙁
hope the car goes well for you, we are just hoping that the electric version is ok too, we only do 100 miles a week so the range isnt to important to us (and we got the free home charger)
February 24, 2023 at 10:38 am #210252The dealer most probably telling the truth about the plate. Like my Citroen dealer couldn’t pick my plate for me like my previous cars as I wanted CE again but had to have CF.
And they weren’t lying as I’ve looked at plates online which the end letter was different and my reg sits between a Renault and a Seat.
previous cars it the end letter difference would be other Citroens.

February 24, 2023 at 3:16 pm #210291Hi
Maybe i am being misunderstood, i couldn’t choose anything i wanted for the number plate, i am not saying that, but i could choose from a list of pre-dealer allocated numbers (about 30 or so).
maybe it depends on the size and turn over of the dealership but they told me they get given a block of numbers to use to register cars from and thats what they showed me. so the dealer may have been telling the truth if they dont get a block allocated to them.

BertyThere are a few posts about Peuguot changing the specs on their cars. Given the long wait times, what you ordered and what you get are a mile apart.
If you sign off on the car, I am not sure there is much you can do about it. As Motability says, supply chain issues are causing problems.
If the items are minor, dont burn yourself just because it is not what was ordered.
Just enjoy the car, if it works and keeps you mobile – all good.
Onwards and upward!
