EUropean GSR2 has got out of hand and will only get worse when phase three comes in next year!
The objective of GSR2 was to improve road safety and set out to help the EU meet its ‘Vision Zero’ target: zero road deaths and serious injures by 2050. For vehicles sold in the UK will use EU specification software as manufacturers try to avoid the additional complexity of creating UK-specific variants, which increases the cost of bringing a vehicle to market.
What what set out to be safety orientated, has turned out quite the opposite, its hoped NCAP will make several changes to the way its implemated, with the ability to turn off and stay off and no more fecking bing bongs!!
