I was quoted november for delivery of my i4,however i notice some people have been quoted march/april..Is this down to different dealers having allocated slots for build and those customers with later times ,are in the next batch allocated slots  to that dealer..Or is it purely high demand at some dealers to others?curious how the process works.

I contacted several Vauxhall and Hyundai dealers across the UK to establish if some dealers had a special nod and a wink to expedite production of a car.  I found all the dealers I contacted were consistent with their lead times.

It could be dealers having dfferent build slots or some dealers hve a bigger nose than others!

I think some dealers are much more on the ball and others just make a sweeping generalisation.

I was quoted 10 weeks for a car and advised they were in production and they could reserve any colour of my choice. It was indeed 10 weeks and I was delighted. Another dealer couldn’t be bothered to check and just said 6 months. I just think they often give you the worst case and if it arrives sooner, they can delight you with that news.

We order our Suzuki 8th July, quoted late September to early October as the vehicle has to shipped from Japan, vehicle is ready for collection 10th August approximately 4 week from ordering.

Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.
