My understanding Chinese vehicles attract a lower residual value in the UK, the knock on effect low retail prices are causing European manufacture to lower their asking prices, resulting in lower used resale values.

Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.

That is old data from 3 years ago when Chinese EV,s were first hitting EU an UK markets.  The data is from a lease from 3 years ago.

Todays chinese EV,s are still ahead of EU vehicles.

I ve ordered. Chinese vehicle a tesla model 3, and its chinese lfp battery.

As I said the data is from vehicles sold 3 years ago.

Only a month or so ago it was reported that in the EU, 2nd hand ev sales had surged because of the Gulf crisis. No doubt the DAT report did not include that data either.

The article published on “May 29, 2026 ” and it compares to the data from 2024. It also refers to another article from 2026.

As to your Chinese Tesla – I think because it is Model 3. Model Y are built in Germany.

              Incorrect.

The model 3 is built in Shanghai. NOT Germany.

.. that’s what he said? He said Model Y are built in Germany, and that’s absolutely correct.
