    Does your car dealer not respond to your emails, well after thinking its just we Motability customers who get the cold shoulder from dealers it turns out its the same for everyone.

    Hi I found that problem with Volvo, BMW, and 3 years ago Ford, but this time Ford did respond to all commications.

    Had quite a few ‘no-repliers’ in the quest for my latest car – Skoda x2 , VW x2 (3 of those 4 in the same group!) Seat where spot on, as were Mazda.

    My thoughts were that if the dealer didn’t have the slots to place an order, didn’t have the availability, or just generally was too busy with more profitable retail sales, then the email went to the bottom of the pile.

    Each person is likely to get a difference service due to the change in situation i.e whilst i couldn’t get a response from VW, if someone emailed them in Q1 next year when availability should return to normal and order books open, they are likely to get a much improved service than i did.

    Johnsons Mazda of Oxford, Vince to name our specialist is spot on, not was, as even though we have collected the car he has made himself available for any questions we may have… the service doesn’t stop once you have the car. I emailed him a couple of times, and had responses the same day, also had calls from him with updates that i didn’t expect. His primary focus was to get us the car we wanted, as soon as he could possible could, and he more than delivered.

    Hi, so I’m just looking for advice . I’ve had a demonstration in a nearly new vehicle , I signed paperwork with the dealer at my home address 2 weeks ago, I then sent the dealer the acceptance letter for the advance payment on Tuesday, but since then he has not responded to messages or phone calls , I can’t log in to an online motability account as my details are not recognised. Does anyone know what I can do ?

    @Tina You should call motability customer service regarding both issues. They should sort it out for you.

    Hi Tina, can I ask which WAV you went for? As I’m currently trying to get the Ford Transit Independence and the AP on nearly new is around £1500.

    Hi Tina

    No reply is the motto of most Motability car dealers today but I’m a little puzzled by “I sent the dealer the acceptance letter for the advance payment” and “I signed the paperwork with the dealer at my home”.

    Normally all these things you have to be present at the dealer so would assume you have permission from Motability to do this from home as indeed you may have.

    I’m just being a bit wary because of the fact the Motability user login portal is not recognising your details. Did you previously set this up yourself or maybe a close relative or carer and is this following page the correct login page your using…

    @ChrisK

    I believe Tina is referring to a WAV order, that being the only way go have a nearly new vehicle on the Scheme. With WAV’s the signing of paperwork, ordering and handovers all take place at the customers home.

    Thanks WMC for that as I didn’t know.

    With the Motability web portal for login into your account it does have the standard “forgot password” tag so maybe Tina could try that if she knows the email address used for the account.

    Also if you use the likes of Firefox as your browser you can access your saved password from the small 3 line box at the top right of the page. Just left click on the 3 lines and scroll down to password manager.

    at the top type in id.motabilityoperations.co.uk and that should bring up your password for that account. Assuming you have it set to save passwords.
