    Put all my immediate family on this daily early in the pandemic .The stats of being hospitalised with severe covid reduce dramaticaly, also seems most of the world is deficient in it. Nothing to lose by using this daily for vulnerable and the rest of the population. Public health england advised everybody take it daily a few months ago.

    P.S. dr john explains the virus in a digestable way I find him very balanced.

    Indeed stav, a wise move. Dr John is very good at explaing the complicated into easy understandable terms. I have been following him on youTube for sometime now.

    I post the video in the hope those of us who are at high risk might follow his advice. Glad that you already do stav.

    Hi, Joss!

    Please excuse my being nosy, but has your GP but you on such a high dose due to Statins Intolerance or suchlike continuous medical side-effect?

    50,000 IU is over 7,000 IU a day.  My MS Specialist put me on 4,000 IU daily for 3 months and then my GP lowered it to 3,200 IU daily due to the serious risk of hypercalcaemia – too much calcium in the blood, leading to kidney and heart damage, plus (ironically) brittle bones.

    In these times of potential ‘Covid 19 anxiety’ I’m just a bit concerned that some curious lurker might think 50,000 IU was a fairly ‘normal’ dose for something anyone can buy from Amazon.

    We use normal d3 at 400-800 iu a day but which it is said has a very beneficial effect on outcome if you get covid. I think what joss is talking about is super high dose but has had brilliant results in trials.

    @Georgie

    Your not being nosy at all. It is a valid question.

    I have CKD stage 4 bordering 5 severely amnesic. Dose of D3 is 50,000 IU to be taken once a week for 6 weeks

    I tolerate my statins very well and with out side effects.

    The 50,000 is far from normal Georgie.  I am due to see my GP Tuesday so will find out more then. He rang me on Friday to inform me about the D3 and placed a prescription with the chemist.

    Glad you have a Doctor who actually looks after your Interests, Josh.  I had the devil of a job getting mine to co-operate.
