Communication issues with Motability

I am deaf and cannot use a phone. I am a cancer patient as well as having other issues as many of us have. My preferred medium is E-mail. I wish to hand my car back after two and a half years and 12000 miles because I am increasingly dependent on other forms of transport for hospital procedures, doctors, getting drugs and everyday errands which  at times I am just not well enough to do. I only have my Son to help me. He is under 25 and therefore not insurable. I want to get a car on the scheme he can drive.

I hit a brick wall in being able to contact Motability. I found a postal address and sent a detailed letter which as yet has had no response.

Interested to know how other forum members have surmounted the issue I am experiencing.

      So frustrating!!!

Someone here has an email for the CEO of Motability and recommended to use it if nothing else works.

        Sent from a mobile device.
Apologies for briefness and spelling mistakes.

Motability Skoda Enyaq SportLine 85x April 2024 (unhappy customer, but won my case with Ombudsman)
Motability Mazda CX-60 PHEV July 2023 (unhappy customer - early termination on mechanical grounds)
Motability VW Touran Family Pack May 2019 (happy customer)

I think that your best bet is to nominate a family member or friend to act on your behalf. That way you can communicate your needs to them and they can phone Motability to discuss. Businesses just aren’t set up to deal with letters these days now that email and phone are the norm.

, I think to nominate someone @fireball27 will face same issue,  unless it is possible to do via their website?

You can also try using their ‘Web Messenger’ (Live Chat) service, accessed via the green button bottom right of screen on most Motability website pages. It is operational during Motability’s normal business hours.

You can save/print off a copy of your live chat so you have a hard copy of what has been said by both parties.

Also, if you are a British Sign Language (BSL) user and have a webcam you can use their ‘BSL Video Relay’ service:
