hi all doing my usual trawl through the search and for some reason ive not really looked at the c3 aircross no idea why. i am going to do the sit test tommorrow mainly just to get out of the house the recent cold weather has killed me.

anyway any real difference between the 136 and 145 i assume thats just the horse power, an extra 9 is that going to make much difference.

anyone running one at the moment?

i am hoping the seats are comfy they usually are in citroens maybe on the soft side?

had a c4 the big one as my first motability car was ok till the pixels in the display went took 3 days to replace the entire display they had to take out the entire front and dash would have loved to see that bill. all under warrenty etc.

well went out to get away from the budget and had a sit in the c3 andd c3 aircross and ye gods theyre huge even the c3 i can get in/out of and the interior is very nice the aircross is enourmous for my needs so both go to the top of the maybe list just need to do more homework and arrange a test drive.

then just need to see what rachaels money grab does to the aps.

Being the Citroen nut that I am I was curious by this a few months ago and I found this on a Alfa site explaining it

@CF21LEE will tell you the difference between the engines and which is better, but expect it marketing ploy of the two, as I believe both are the same engine.

“Stellantis’s various brands continue to give mixed messages about this 48v hybrid system. Some call it Hybrid 145, others – like Citroen, here – Hybrid 136. But the fact is, it produces maximum ‘system output’ of 144bhp – or 145ps – when both petrol engine and electric motor are on point. So quite why Citroen feels the need to ‘low ball’ its output – when Fiat, Vauxhall and Jeep certainly don’t – is open to question.”

However, that aside it would certainly be a comfy option, especially the aircross and then there’s the option of extra foam for sofa style seats!  How fuel economy, hybridisation or available spec compares to the Juke, I’m not sure, but I guess they are worthy of your list subject to test drive 🙂

If you can get a test drive buddy definitely as in general the New C3 Aircross has had positive feedback but my salesman buddy recently handed one over to a Motability customer who was coming from the old C3 Aircross 1.2 130 EAT6 she told him the next day she will have to ring Motability about having it back and changing to something else as she finds the seat too uncomfortable compare to the other car.

Granted mind they have handed over quite a few now and she is the only one that’s complained about it.

thanks guys the engine thing did throw me and i am no petrol head so the test drive will sort that one out.

for a pure just sit in the seat and adjust it session i was really impressed with the support and comfort. especially the headrests which look a little different but provide proper support. will be interested as to what they are like on the road.

they do seem beter than my current seats but will need to test the tekna as it has the monoform seats with the inbuilt speakers whuch it will be interesting to test to see if they are any good or just a gimmick.

need to wait for the dust to settle on the budget and see what it does to aps the c3 aircross is much bigger than the juke and £546 compared to the tekna’s £452. so not a lot in it the c3 max 110 at zero ap could be the budget beater but it doent have the green paint which is really nice.

now i just need the dust to settle pricewise i think its a straight fight now between citroen and nissan.

                test drives to book lol

the citroen guy was really keen to do a deal even suggested they could order early before next quarter to guarentee the price. bit dubious about that i cant order till 28 feb.

ok test drives booked for tommorrow noon c3 max and c3 aircross max. going to run the usual gym home shops circle the roads i normally travel on and a motorway blast.

                  questions to confirm:

as the c3 doesnt have green paint is the red free, i think it is.

c3 doesnt have adjustabble boot floor is there an after market fix. i am sure ive seen them for others.

other than that i think all i need is a juke tekna to test and its a straight shoot out lol.

Yeah all paint free of charge to Motability customers. I had the same red on the C4 was a stunning. Colour. Citroen missed a trick not putting it in my out going C5 Aircross.

be interesting how you find the hybrid. Shame I can’t test drive any as many times over the years my Citroen Dealer knowing the Citroen nut that I am would have let me taken new models out for a spin. But I drive with hand controls.
