This is a heads-up for anybody considering the Chery Tiggo 8 who also needs a wheelchair hoist.

The hoist suppliers make a fitting and electrical kit for each car – not enough demand for them to make one for the new shape Forester BOO!!!

The Chery range is so new, they’ve only just got their hands on an 8 and it will be 3-4 weeks before there’s any news.

We’re also considering the Kodiaq SE-L, but it’s so much more expensive.  🙁

Is it quite spacious? Starting very early looking at possibilities for our next lease (won’t expire until 2028) we currently have a Skoda Kodiaq however we had to leave scorch marks on our credit cards to afford the AP, but it was the only non electric vehicle we could find that met our criteria (needs to be tall enough to accommodate a 6ft 6in passenger and rear space for two adults and a child car seat with a good sized boot) I know that things on the scheme will be vastly different by the time we need to switch over, but trying to gather info on cars that might be just as sizeable but less expensive. Any insight you have would be much appreciated, sorry for the ramble

The luggage area of the Tiggo 8 is a little smaller than the Kodiaq at 540 litres. The rest of the car is very well equipped and very spacious IMO.

Hmm ok, thank you. Would you say the middle seat in the Tiggo 8 was an ACTUAL seat? Or significantly smaller than the outer seats

I can’t comment. I didn’t look closely as we’ve never had more than three people in the car.
