Coming up to end of 3 years with car ( 4 months left)
Had the excellent Kia EV6 and nothing on the list comes close to the around car it is .
interested in the enyaq or the Volvo Ex 30.
Had a look round the cars yesterday and was told enyaq was 5 months wait and Volvo just over a month.
so my question when going to a different manufacturer what happens if when you book a car what happens if the car is ready shorter or longer than the 3 months we are allowed to order from?

Also have an Kia EV6 AWD – Lease ends Jan 2027. Love this car, no faults at all.
Tempted to leave the scheme and lease a Tesla Y AWD premium direct from them. £387 mth x 36 with a £4,845 deposit. Unsure how the 6yrs no claims built up with Mobility can be used given mobility have changed insurers.
Still have many months left to decide, if an extension was available might want to keep the EV6 for longer.

If the car comes before your current lease ends the dealer has to hold on to it until your lease end date. You cannot have it early. If it’s beyond the lease end date you just keep your current car until the new one arrives.

you don’t build up no claims with motability as it’s fleet Insurance and just a named person on the insurance, what you get is a letter from the insurance to say what your claim history is.

This is true although, in my case, it seemed to have the same effect on the insurance prices that I was quoted.
I am still staggered at how reasonable my insurance premium was for a very high value group 50 insurance car, especially as I had a claim 4 years ago!
In regards to the enyaq thats only for new builds, if cars are in existing stock that match your spec then youll get it in weeks. You can check the stock by going to the skoda website, it doesnt need to be stock for your dealer or dealer group as long as its a skoda and new

The three month period is for when we can place the order. So long as you place your order in this 3 month period then you will be fine.
If it takes 5 months or longer for your new car to arrive, Motability will extend your lease agreement and insurance cover on your old car until the new car arrives.
If the new car came early, the dealer would have to store it until the end of the 3 month period.
If you did not manage to place an order in the 3 month period then you should be able to place an order shortly afterwards. But you would need to contact Motability extend your lease agreement and insurance cover for a few months. At this point Motability may only agree a short extension for you to make your order.
Confused why you’re replying to me i was just stating to get a vehicle in existing stock will be much quicker, theres quite alot of delays with Skoda at the moment with their new builds.
We ordered a Škoda Enyaq in early June estimated date late December, Mobility has advised our current vehicle lease is extended until the vehicle arrives.
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.
Are you looking for a very specific spec? If not – go to Skoda website and browse their new stock. This is how I purchased mine.
