Changes to mileage allowance

      Worried sick…I am high mileage driver as live in country and do 18k a year….a lot of this is to and from work which without car I couldn’t get to etc …..government want to get disabled people into work….i work …have my whole life….but without car I can’t….,im worried

        Agree worried sick 4 year’s mileage 65000 no point in having the car or working suffering pain when there is no way I can work more hours to cover extra cost

          Without wanting to sound rude – It’s pointless worrying over spilt milk, untill you know how much has been spilt without speculating and making the matter sound worse 🙂

            I’m sure that you will still be able to have a Motability car but, as is the case with leases elsewhere, you will need to pay more than the average to be able to do higher mileage.

              Im ok paying  little  extra to be able to use car as needed and that’s fair …..but well this new option? No real information

              have read its going down to 45k over the 3 years

                As we don’t know exactly, the worst case is you will beable to pay over mileage charge at a set rate (pence), I can’t remember what it is currently on the scheme 5p or 8p?

                  Why should this even bother our clueless government as they don’t stand to gain anything.

                    Think it’s more to do with resale values as seemingly second hand car market isn’t good so get more for car with 45k than one with 60k
