(The motorcycle years, mostly spent on a BMW R100RT)
Peugeot 405 (Company Car non turbo diesel – so slow accelerating)

Renault Clio
VW Golf 1.8
Mercedes 200D W123
MGBGT (why oh why)
Vauxhall Vectra
Honda Accord Estate
Citroen Berlingo
Ford Galaxy

Triumph spitfire
MGB Front page of Coventry evening paper after crashing through double doors and piling up on counter)
pedals were very close together for heeling and toeing, hit by Belgian in hire car when full lock and stationary, jammed accelerator down and sent me into passenger well, scattered pedestrians for 100 metres and then peeking over dash avoided old lady leaving shoe shop and entered bank. Court said my sitting with out turned front wheels caused accident, despite Belgian saying I was stationary when he hit me at speed.

Favourite Car was Galloper, imported from Iraq, desert spec ex UN vehicle. Impossible to get spares was a mitsu design built by Hyundai. No computer had any parts correctly listed. Hyundai said its Mitsu, Mitsu said its Hyundai. Sunbeam was prettiest. Lexus most luxurious, Sprint quickest (at the time). Best buy was Morris Minor for 50 quid. Kept in family for about 15 yrs. Easiest to work on, Spitfire, cheapest to run Morris Minor. Scariest at speed, Capri, could not go around bends. Most expensive, Lexus (3ooo quid for a new set of keys, They change all the locks)

Elliot, you didn’t sell the sprint to me did you? Sounds like the spec of the one I bought in London or thereabouts, was white colour and yes, a beast

Don’t think I’ve ever had the same car more than once in 30yrs of driving, I get bored far too easy.
FiestaRed
“FiestaRed” is the colour of the timeless Fender 57 Stratocaster guitars used and played by so many bands over the years.
