Well I picked up my brand new Seat Ateca today from the dealer 6 miles on the clock and managed another 120 miles of enjoyable driving. Typical bad luck ran over glass less that a mile from home. Bang total flat. Tried the supplied VAG Inflation/Foam stuff but no good. Called RAC although Seat Motability had not supplied the emergency number (Tut Tut) had to google it. RAC recovery arrived within 30 minutes. Fantastic service and recovered me to home address. Hopefully another call in the morning to recover the car to nearest Kwik Fit. So far so good but think im going to invest in a space saver even though no where to stick in other than smack bang in the middle of the boot. Now just hoping Kwik Fit have the tyre size I need.  Drove my SsangYong Korando for 3.5 years 40k and not one puncture. Think im gonna regret the 19″ alloys and less rubber.

Must have been some sharp piece of glass to get through a new tyre.
I’ve got nothing but good things to say about RAC service Kwik fit mobile fitting is the service I always use.

I don’t know about the Ateca but the Seat Leon I had on a 61 plate came with one of those silly puncture kits but there was still the space for a space-saver underneath the boot floor. It had a big piece of polystyrene type plastic in the hole where the tyre would sit with cut outs for the jack and the air pump silly kit.

Menorca Mike I went for the Ateca 2.0TDI DSG 150PS Excellence Lux 4Drive. Black Magic. Puncture repaired and absolutely loving it to bits.

ChrisK. I dont have any room because of the 4 wheel drive stuff. After seeing the cut in the tyre the supplied the provided inflation foam stuff was just running out the other side nothing could have plugged the gap.

i had the same thing with a citroen c4 grandpicasso had it 7 days and picked up 2 screws one of which was right on the join of thetyre wall so it couldnt be repaired it had to be replaced. major argument with mota as they just wanted them to replace it with the cheapest option rather than the type the car came with.

they agreed eventually but it was a pain. kwikfit were fine very efficient.
